What you need to know about this website, in plain words and without small print.
Who is behind it
This is the personal website of Santiago Mompeán Guardia: his professional profile and, in the Mis Artículos section, what he writes.
It has no commercial purpose: nothing is sold here and no service is offered in exchange for money.

Intellectual property
The texts, the photographs and the illustration on the home page belong to Santiago Mompeán Guardia unless stated otherwise. If you would like to reproduce them, please ask him first.
The names and logos of CUNEF Universidad, Singapore Management University, UC Berkeley, King's College Murcia, ING, the Spanish Red Cross, the Spanish Banking Association and Fundación Cepaim belong to their owners. They are used here only to show where he has studied, worked or volunteered.
The Fraunces and Instrument Sans typefaces are used under their free licence (SIL Open Font License) and are served from this website itself.
Links to other websites
This website links to third-party pages, such as LinkedIn or the recommendations in Mis Artículos. It is not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data: their own terms apply when you visit them.
Privacy
You don't have to give any personal data to browse this website.
- Hosting. The website is served through Cloudflare, which receives the IP address of each visit in order to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. That data is not used to identify you.
- If you send an email. Your address and whatever you write are only used to reply to you. They are not shared with anyone, and you can ask for them to be deleted.
- Mis Artículos email subscription. It is not active yet. When it is, it will work like this:
- What data: only your email address.
- What for: to send you a weekly summary of what's new in Mis Artículos. Nothing else: it is never shared with or sold to anyone.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box, subscribing and confirming from the email you receive.
- Age: only people aged 18 or over can subscribe.
- Who keeps the list: Buttondown, the service that sends the emails. It is a United States company; the safeguards it offers for data from the European Union are set out in its privacy policy.
- How long: until you unsubscribe, with one click from any email.
Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, or take it with you, by writing to the contact email. If you believe they have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
AI assistants
For artificial intelligence assistants there is a summary of Santiago's professional profile in llms.txt.
The texts in Mis Artículos are personal: they are not part of that summary, and AI crawlers are asked not to read them.
